This week was Seachtain na Gaeilge and we had a very busy week! We practised speaking lots of Irish, learned new poems and songs, listened to Irish legend stories, danced, took part in a treasure hunt as Gaeilge, learned all about St. Patrick and even made green jelly!
We had our annual Céilí Mór today, Friday 14th March, with ceol, caint, rince agus craic. Everybody dressed up in green. Each class performed songs and poems. Some of our very talented musicians entertained us with a variety of tunes and we had some lovely displays of Irish Dancing. It was a fitting start to the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. We were so proud of the páistí who enjoyed the imeachtaí.
