Our boys’ football team have been playing in the Cumann na mBunscol competition over the past few weeks. In the group stages, we had a great victory over Corlurgan on our new pitch at the school. In our next match, we lost out to Tunnyduff on the 3G at Breffni Park. This meant that we qualified for the Semi-Finals. We played Lacken on Tuesday evening in Crosskeys. The match was extremely competitive and there were only two points between the teams with 5 minutes to go. Unfortunately, we lost out 12:0 – 6:12, although our players battled right until the final whistle. There were excellent skills on show and a fine display of point kicking from long range! A special thanks to Chris McCaffrey, who trained the team over the past few weeks, in preparation for the competition.
