It was a huge honour for our school when our President, Michael D. Higgins made a surprise visit to our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations. Mrs. Maguire welcomed him to our school and invited him to join in the craic agus ceol. He even got an opportunity to meet St. Patrick himself!

Congratulations to Tamara Plunkett and Pauric McGovern on their very creative and realistic St. Patrick’s Day costumes. Well done to both of you!

Wednesday the 15th March marked a busy, fun. action-packed day for all of the pupils. our celebrations began with a fashion show, where the children modelled their fantastic St. Patrick’s Day costumes. It was a very difficult decision for the teachers to judge the best-dressed pupil in each classroom. Thank you to all the parents and pupils for their wonderful efforts.

There was dancing, singing, music and even a special treat – Bratach na hÉireann dessert! The day was rounded off with a Quiz (as Gaeilge). Congratulations to the winning team, The Tumbling Paddies!

Seachtain na Gaeilge is a wonderful celebration of our culture and heritage. We hope that all the pupils had a day to remember! Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh go léir!
