Today we enjoyed another wonderful Sports Day in Templeport GAA grounds. This year, being World Cup year, we decided that our team-based events should be World Cup themed. Each of the 9 teams represented a country taking part in World Cup 2014 and dressed appropriately. Winners will be announced tomorrow.
We also had the usual individual races too. The children had been told there would be a big surprise at the end of the day as a reward for their great efforts. Excitement mounted as an ice cream van drove up the hill towards the pitch and everyone indulged in a treat. All in all Sports Day 2014 was a day to remember!
