On Tuesday we were treated to an amazing display of Irish Birds of Prey by Ian Patterson. Ian works for ‘Heritage in Schools Scheme’ and is a licensed keeper of this type of bird. With him for the display were a Barn Owl, a Peregrine Falcon and a Kestrel. We learned some very interesting facts about their habitat, body parts, colour, size, what they eat and how they hunt. It was incredible to see them flying and swooping on their prey so up close and personal. They really are beautiful creatures. Look at some photos taken at the show.
